Alaska may not spring to mind when you think of vacation, but if you know
anyone who has visited you are filled with wonder and amazement and want to plan a trip for yourself. The main cities of Alaska are
Anchorage, the largest city and the hub of air travel,
Fairbanks, a university town, and Juneau,
the capital of Alaska where cruise ships flourish.
Southcentral Alaska is home to most of the population of Alaska
and is the location of the majority of resorts and timesharing opportunities. These resorts cater to relaxation and popular outdoor
activities such as hiking, kayaking or snowmachining.
Anchorage has a large concentration of these resorts including the following: Anchorage Jewel B & B,
Hawthorn Suite Hotel and Clarion Suites,
Sheraton, Hilton, and Westmark.
Another area, only a half hour drive south of Anchorage is Girdwood.
Girdwood is home to the envy of hotels, Westin Alyeska Prince Resort. This star attraction has a tram that takes sightseers high up Mount Alyeska for an incredible view.
Other timeshare vacation spots include Cooper Landing, where you will find Kenai River Drifters Lodge and
Fairbanks, home of Seven Gables Inn and Suites.
